  One thing I'd like to say is that often before getting more laptop memory, look at the machine in which it is installed. When the machine can be running Windows XP, for instance, the actual memory limit is 3.25GB. Adding a lot more than this would merely constitute just a waste. Be sure that one's mother board can handle your upgrade amount, as well. Great blog post.
